[00:00:37] Speaker B: What we'll be doing tonight is I'm going to go ahead and finish up. We were talking some about the creation of the universe, and then one of the theories is kind of based on the straightforward reading, I guess you'd say, of Genesis 1, where you look at what the structure of the universe is implied from the verses in Genesis 1 and then also taking effect, God stretching out the heavens, which is mentioned something like 17 times in the Bible. But I want to talk just a little bit more on that particular topic and then have a special treat. We have missionaries from India with us tonight, and so Wandan Kumar and his wife Prasuna and their niece Shaini, he's going to talk a little bit at the end of class. Just they have really great work going on over there, so I wanted to make sure he had a chance to present that.
So always try to include at least one relevant scripture. I thought this was actually good. All throughout Acts, Paul's going around and he's preaching to different people, really depending on their situation. And of course, we're all familiar with Athens. He says he's going to tell them about the God that created the universe and everything in it, just to kind of connect with him.
And even, of course, he even mentions their culture. Hey, notice you guys have a lot of gods. I mean, he phrase it much more eloquently than that, but you know, but it's basically, you know, he tries to connect and so but even going back a little bit to Acts 14, Acts 14:15 and saying, Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men with the same nature as you and preach to you that you should turn from these useless things to the living God who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them. And of course, that's when they were about to Be sacrificed. You know, people were going to sacrifice to them because they were considered them gods. But even then, you're always tying it back to the God who made the heaven. The earth has seen all things that are in them. So it really is. We talk about evangelism using God's creation. It's all throughout the Bible. That's again, something just to keep in mind, how might some of this potentially be useful? Also want to talk a little bit about for the rest of the class?
This might be a little more important because a lot of what we're going to be talking about aren't things that you can really apply some science to. You know, when you talk about, could someone really make life from basic chemicals? Well, yeah, you go in a lab, you can try it, you can notice all the problems. And you know, they've concluded really since 1860s or 50s even, that, you know, there's no way life could just make itself. They even have the law of biogenesis. You know, life only comes from life. And so. But there's still people that try to push that. Because when you think about it, there's just those two options. Either God made life or life made itself. And so.
And so. But you can really apply some science to that. You can apply science. What we're learning about genetics now, when we're seeing the degradation in the genome, we're actually losing information from the genome, and the information that's there is being corrupted. Well, we can study DNA now, so we'll be able to apply science to that. But some of these theories, I would say all of the theories related to the origin of the universe, you can make some observations. But boy, any of these theories appeals to the supernatural. And we'll talk about that a little bit later tonight. But it's a little harder to apply science to it. So you may hear someone say, well, the Big Bang is not even a scientific theory. And that's not just an insult, passing insult, it literally isn't because it's not what they call falsifiable. In other words, the way that theory's construed, and we'll talk about that in a few minutes, it doesn't matter what the observations are. There's so many adjustable parameters in that theory that you can accommodate any observation. And you can. And at the moment, I think we mentioned this earlier, we're making up 96% of the universe. We got 73% dark energy, 23% dark matter. If you can make up 96% of the universe, even goes further, you could literally Take any set of observations, put all these adjustable parameters in, and pretend they support any theory at all we wanted. And so we'll talk about that more later. But I want to mention. But that makes it a non scientific theory because it doesn't matter what the observations are, you can't prove it false. And so this is a falsification principle proposed by Karl Popper. I'll just read it. It says a way of demarcating science from non science. It suggests that for a theory to be considered scientific, it must be able to be tested and conceivably proven false. For example, the hypothesis that all swans are white can be falsified by observing a black swan. Okay, so, and so a lot of it's not just the idea, it's just the how that idea is posited, I guess you'd say.
Okay, and so also just to remind me, this one is huge because this is the opposite of science, because you have the Bible being ruled out on philosophical grounds, just on people that don't want any, what they would consider evidence for God or even, I guess, proof for God, but even evidence. This was Edwin Hubble, you know, Hubble Space Telescope. And he was setting kind of the tone for the, what ended up being the Big Bang theory.
And he didn't claim the Earth was at the center of the universe. Instead, he discussed the unwelcome possibility in his. Okay, so right there you're like unwelcome possibility. Why is that unwelcome? You know, that should be, you know, we should just be excited wherever God put us. You know, if we learn where God put us, you know, that's big. I mean, that's really important. But says unwelcome possibility in his 1937 book, the Observational Approach to Cosmology, which is a very foundational book in this area, noting that isotropic, uniform in all directions, redshifts of distant galaxies could imply a unique central position. However, Hubble rejected this idea, stating it was unwelcome and intolerable. It would only be accepted as a last resort. He favored the cosmological principle that the universe is the homogenous and isotropic with no favorite position to avoid the horror of a unique position.
Okay, so, and again, as I mentioned, I actually respect people that are very upfront. And what he's saying is, no, I'm going to do everything I can because The Bible, Genesis 1, it kind of puts us in a unique position.
So he wasn't that up front, but he's upfront enough to Say, hey, this is where I'm coming from. I'm going to rule out these particular ideas. And then, of course, Ellison Hawking did the same thing. This was the interview with George Ellis in 1995, I think it was. For instance, I can construct you a spherically symmetrical universe with Earth at its center, and you cannot disprove it based on observations. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds.
Okay, so just think what he just said. You know, it's a, hey, we could be here and it's consistent with our observations, but we're going to exclude that on philosophical grounds. Okay? That is not science. I mean, it's the opposite. Because I'd be like, hey, we could be hearing the evidence.
Let's pursue that. Let's really dive into that. You can only exclude it on philosophical grounds. In my view, there's absolutely nothing wrong in that. What I want to bring into the open is the fact that we are using philosophical criteria in choosing our models. Again, got to respect that. I mean, he's just right up front.
I mean, we're making these models, but we've got some philosophical assumptions. So totally disagree with him, but got to respect the fact that he's that open with what he's doing. Okay, so you start to see where this all went.
Well, sure enough, you know, soon. This was even before Hubble actually published his book. We were seeing all kinds of problems with these, I guess you just call billions of years theories, which again, have kind of turned into what is commonly known as the big bang. Mid-1970s had a lot of, lot of evidence against the standard theories began to be publicized. And so they came up with dark matter and dark energy. I'm going to date myself, but I've always been a space geek. And I actually remember this debate, okay, because it's like, where'd the universe come from? And people come up with this dark energy and dark matter. But it was, hey, you know, we're. Yeah, this is really strange. People are just saying, yeah, this is ridiculous. You can't just make stuff up, okay? And they said, well, we need to keep our framework intact. We need to be able to pursue this framework. So I know it's like 50% of the universe right now, but once we put that in there, we start working things, get more observations, it'll go down.
So it kind of got accepted. So using it went from 50%. Now it's up to 96%. Okay? And so that's when you say you're making up 96% of the universe. That's what we literally are doing.
Former NASA administrator Mike Griffin, he gave a speech in Houston. Again, I actually really agree with his sentiment here. He said, what is the value of discovering that literally 95% of the universe can consists of dark energy or dark matter terms for things that we yet know nothing about, but they make up 95% of our universe? Okay, we know nothing about them, but they make up 95% of our universe. Now, he was, he still is really great guy. I mean, really smart, really into his job. And so I emailed him. So I sent him this email. It was like midnight. And I'm like. And it had to be one of those midnight emails because that's the only time you'd even bother because you know he's not going to respond, right? So I sent this email, I said, well, if we know nothing about it, how does it make up 95% of our universe? Or how do we know it makes up 95% of the universe? Okay, so I'm starting to pack up, get an email back. And he goes, well, it's only from Griffin like 20 minutes later. So he goes, well, it has to make up 95% of the universe for the Big Bang to work.
Okay, so you see where this one's going to go? So I go, well, how do we know the Big Bang works? And so real cordial exchange. I stayed good friends with him for a lot of years. He went over to DOD for a while. But the point was, it was basically I let him know I was putting my faith in God creating the universe. And he was saying, well, he was sure we could figure out how to make the Big Bang work. But again, the other point there is you can have a cordial conversation with just about anybody. So it's.
But anyway, so that's confirmation, I guess you'd say, from a former NASA administrator. This was just Scientific American. I won't read all these quotes. I love the one at the bottom, though, because they're talking about, this was 2003. And what's funny is you read the article, they have all these things they're going to look at, everything has failed. So it's kind of neat in hindsight, you can go back because now you can go back 23 years. And everything they mentioned in that article, that might work, might work, might work, none of it worked.
But the bottom quote, dark energy considered even stranger. The only thing we know about Dark Energy is its name, which is, I think that's actually a clever way of saying, hey, we made this.
We named it it sounded cool. That's all we know.
So the situation we're in now, dark matter and dark energy can be distributed throughout the universe in any fashion desired. Dark matter and dark energy can have any property desired. Inflation is also required. What's interesting about inflation is just in the very first very tiny fraction of a second, the universe, supposedly space itself, actually expanded really fast according to their theory, just to try to make the theory work.
Well, there could be something there because again, the Bible talks about God stretching out the heavens like 17 times. He doesn't tell us when he stretched out the heavens, how much he stretched out the heavens. But you have this, that's enough of a stated enough times that there's probably something that we should pursue on that. So that could actually be because I should start out saying we're not saying we know everything, but there's so little known about the universe right now and so much we have to learn. But you look for things to me like, okay, God stretching out the heavens, inflation. Yeah, maybe something. Now we would say a different time scale and everything else, but it's at least a common concept that was needed.
But by making these things where they have any property desired, you can put them anywhere you want to.
Again, you can basically support any theory imagined. And so that's why again, the Big Bang is considered to be non falsifiable is by definition not a scientific theory. Okay, so it's middle of the week, it's late at night, it's hot outside. And so I was trying to think, well, what do we do to wake people up?
So I know just like the rest of you, what you want to do is a math problem. Right? Okay, good. All right, so we're on it. Okay, good. So just to perk you up, here's your math problem.
But since it's late at night and it's hot outside and everything else, you're not allowed to use algebra. Okay, so if X plus Y equals 100, what does X equal?
Okay, yep. So X is 50, Y is 50, answer's 100. He's absolutely right. Anybody else wanna give it a try?
100 minus Y. Yeah, 100 minus Y, you're absolutely right.
But you used algebra, so you kind of, you know, gotta give you half off. But the whole point is, yeah, if you said X is 20, Y is 80, you know, if you said, you know, X is 70, Y is 30. If I came back next quarter and said, hey, really sorry, the answer was really 200, no problem. Right. Because X was 50, Y is now 150. And so that's what these adjustable parameters value. And so that's why it's non falsifiable, because the analogy is that's like saying observations plus adjustable parameters equals support for a theory. And that's essentially what we're doing here. So Christians aren't the only ones that have noticed this and actually is probably the most publicized by non Christians. So this was a open letter to the scientific communities published in New Scientist maybe 22nd 2004, but it was signed by hundreds of astronomers, professors, postdocs, and it was basically they were getting frustrated because they couldn't get any funding to look at alternative theories. And these weren't biblical theories, just, hey, we got to look at something else, this isn't working.
So they wrote this letter and I'll just go ahead and read it to you because again, this is several hundred signators.
The Big Bang today relies on a growing number of hypothetical entities, things that we have never observed. Inflation, dark matter and dark energy, the most prominent examples. Okay, so I mentioned those, goes on, says without them there would be a fatal contradiction between the observations made by astronomers and the predictions of the Big Bang theory. In no other field of physics would this continual recourse to new hypothetical objects be accepted as a way of bridging the gap between theory and observation. It would at the least raise serious questions about the validity of the underlying theory. Okay, so fatal contradiction, that's pretty strong. But it's true. There would be a fatal contradiction. No other field of physics would that be accepted. Well, that's true. I mean, physics, if you can't figure out a, you know, like a 0.001% factor, I mean, you know, that bothers you, you know, and so now we're talking about 96%. Okay, so you know, again, raise serious questions about the validity of the underlying theory. Goes on and says, what is more, the Big Bang theory can boast of no quantitative predictions that would have successfully subsequently been validated by observation. The successes claimed by the theory supporters consist of its ability to retrospectively fit observations with a steadily increasing array of adjustable parameters. So again, we make the observation, oh, that didn't fit. So we'll add some more adjustable parameters. Okay, Now I love the way scientists insult each other. Okay, so I want you, if you ever use this on a playground, let me know. I don't think I didn't growing up. It says, just as the old earth centered cosmology of Ptolemy needed layer upon layer of epicycles, and wouldn't that make A person cringe? Well, for different reasons. But the whole point was this was actually the theory that everything revolved around all the planets, sun all revolved around the Earth. And that got proven wrong by observations, for sure, Galileo. But I think even before then they knew it wasn't working. But rather than saying, hey, our theory is wrong, everything in the solar system does not revolve around the Earth.
They just kept adding what they called epicycles. And so it took a long time or it slowed down. This process of the planets don't revolve around the Earth, the sun doesn't revolve around the Earth. And so again, but it finally obviously got fixed. Okay, then some of these.
Only thing I'll mention here is you can go to some websites and it'll claim it knows the edge, the age of the universe to like five significant digits. It's like 13.798 billion years or something. Or.
But then like the same day, another scientific organization will release something saying, hey, we think we're off by a few hundred million years, you know, and sometimes I'll even say a few billion years. So again, it's a lot. Again, just this idea. You might be talking to somebody and they might think, oh no, we know for sure how old the universe is. I saw it on Wikipedia or whatever. But then, you know, just so you can, you know, again, evangelism using God's creation, you point out, well, even the non Christians aren't certain about certain things like this.
You always have the question about, well, what was there before the Big Bang?
All explanations are metaphysical. Okay, so, and what that means is you're appealing to the supernatural. So if someone says, well, they don't, you know, they're trying to make the Big Bang work because they don't want to believe in God. They have to appeal to the supernatural, in other words, outside of nature, to start the Big Bang, because you basically, to start it, you know, you have to essentially think about, you're like outside of time, you're outside of nature. Now, when I was growing up, it used to be the universe exploded from a point of infinite density where the laws of nature don't apply.
Okay, if laws of nature don't apply, what is that?
Supernatural, right? And now this one, it's almost clever in a devious way.
Now we have a universe generator that has generated an infinite number of universes. Okay? And we just happen to be in the one universe that that looks the way we do. But the mathematical properties of infinity would tell you that if there's an infinite number of universes, Absolutely everything is happening in an infinite number of them all the time. Okay, so that's a mouthful. But literally infinite number of universes, absolutely everything is happening in an infinite number of them all the time. Okay? And so even most scientists are just rejecting that because it's got no predictive capability.
I mean, you could predict a little bit what Zeus was going to do next, right? You know, Greek mythology. But this is just a mathematical trick. There's absolutely no evidence for it. But it's also supernatural. And if someone is really gets stuck on this, ask them if their universe generator can give them free will. So remember, the two big points we were making is life can't make itself and we have the ability to make choices, free will, because God gave us a soul. Well, all these are trying to be just physical processes. And so if it's just a chemical reaction, we can't. We don't have any free will. We don't have a soul. And so that'd just be some ways, because you'll run into this a lot.
It's always hard to tell if Marvel started the idea, if it was started somewhere else. But you know, how many spider mans are there? We don't really know. I mean, I think there's.
So that's okay. And then.
But again, was before the universe. Bible answers that in the very first verse, Genesis 1:1, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. And so in the beginning, that means God created time. That means God is outside of time because he created it. And by definition, anything outside the dimension of time cannot have a beginning or an end.
Okay, so Bible hits it on the very first verse. And the theory is trying to deny God.
They dance around it because if you talk about universe generators and infinite number of universe, everything else, well, people start to, oh, that sounds technical, it must be. Right? But it's not. It's just. It's just made up. And so that's again kind of the back and forth there and then the last kind of slide just to think about if you're again using this to evangelize. I didn't believe this one when I first heard it, but you go out and this is straight out of Wikipedia. So the idea is, okay, all these universes are popping into existence, but what are the odds of a universe popping into existence that could actually be so finely tuned that you could, you know, evolve life, you could do all sorts of stuff versus the odds of just a brain popping into existence? Okay, and so if you don't Believe we have a soul, then it's just chemicals. So brain comes into existence with all the, you know, certain quantum states in that brain. Well, it turns out it's almost like, you know, it's, it's 100% that it's just brains popping into existence. And that was Guardians of the Galaxy 2. If you look at ego, that's a good documentary to watch if you want to, you know. So it's a. Okay, so you have these brains, you know, popping into this. Okay, so what does this mean? Well, this means. And I'll read the, I'll read you the exact quote, but basically it means from your perspective, you just think we're all here. You just think you had a childhood. You just think you're in this class. You just, you know, but you're just a brain that's just popped into existence. So from my perspective, you know, you guys aren't real. You know, they just. I happen to popped out of the chaos and, you know, just have all this, and then I'm just going to go back into the chaos in just a tiny fraction of a second. Okay, so they call this the Boltzmann brain problem. The ARCORE is trying to get funding for it. And it says, but this is the quote. It says if our current level of organization, having many self aware entities is a result of a random fluctuation, is much less likely than a level of organization which only creates standalone self aware entities for every universe. With the level of organization we see, there should be an enormous number of lone Boltzmann brains floating around in unorganized environments in an infinite universe. Number of self aware brains that spontaneously and randomly form out of the chaos, complete with memories of a life like ours, should vastly outnumber the brains evolved from an inconceivably rare local fluctuation, the size of the observable universe. Okay, so, but again, it's, you know, we do all get to choose where we put our faith, but if someone's choosing where to put their faith, if they're saying they're choosing to put their faith in the big Bang, then we can at least gently speaking the truth in love, let them know. Okay, here's what you're putting your faith in, you know, because.
But again, God lets it be our choice. So.
And then, just real quick, the James Webb Space Telescope.
Amazing engineering. It was like a $10 billion observatory. It all worked. There's something like over 300 single point failures in the James Webb.
But when it started making observations, they were completely different than what were predicted. And so it has some great infrared pictures. But if you remember, it was all this hype about they're going to look back to the beginning of time. There won't be any stars. Maybe 400,000 years after, it's just going to be this.
So we look back at the beginning of time. Da, da, da, da. There's stars, there's galaxies, there's everything.
And so literally, if you were paying attention, hype, hype, hype. It turns on dead silence for two weeks followed by look at those beautiful pictures.
And that's literally what happened. I was there. A lot of you guys are here too.
So anyway, so these are just some quotes that came out. And there's actually. I think they have a movie. I need to go watch the movie. I think it's over at the Space and Rock center just about all the things that James Webb discovered that weren't predicted by the Big Bang. Now, of course, they have all the adjustable parameters, so they're adjusting them, you know, accordingly. But again, it's not falsifiable from that. The, the why it's not scientific.
Why it's not a scientific theory. But it says within just the last two years, Big Bang theorists have had to push back the estimated date for the first stars about 150 million years, from 400 to 250 million years after supposed Big Bang. Now also claiming the first galaxies may have formed within 200 million years of supposed Big Bang.
And then you get a lot of the popular press and you can track down the, you know, where their reference was.
Another way to try to deal with a problem was to make the universe about twice as old as the general assumption was. And there was a group might have actually been in India that was pushing this group of researchers in India were pushing this, you know, just kind of. Well, if you double the age of the universe, that could help.
And then this one's interesting. Is our universe inside a black hole? New research says it could be possible.
Again, not sure where that's going, which is kind of interesting just to give the length of, you know, that people that were having to go to a new research that used imaging from James Webb space also created scientific theory says the Milky Way is inside a black hole. And then this is another quote. Astrophysical Journal says the detection of oxygen is just a rapid metal enrichment during the early phase of galaxy formation. You know, second paragraph. I was astonished by the unexpected results because they opened a new view on the first phase of galaxy evolution, said astrophysics paper author Stefano Carniani of The Scola Normali Superior in Pisa, Italy. In a statement, she added, evidence that a galaxy is already mature in the infant universe raises questions about when and how. So it goes on just kind of again, causing everything to have to be changed. It just totally didn't match the predictions. Okay, so Sunday, Sunday morning, actually, I have a relative that lived close to the launch pad. I guess there was just the right amount of cloud cover and she was close enough that, that it was really loud. Okay. Because this off of Falcon Heavy. But you launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. And so it's. One of its stated goals is to try to figure out dark matter, dark energy, count, exoplanets, image worlds. I like the last one, though, because it's build an infrared, open infrared archive. And I think that what that means is this is going to take the raw data and make that available to everyone. And that is huge because now people with.
Okay, so it's all speculation coming up, but AI is advancing fast enough that people with access to good computers and all that data, they're going to come up with all kinds of theories and again, very confident that the correct. They're going to come up with some very biblically consistent theories. And they'll be just using the raw data. It won't be interpreted. It won't be. Yeah, you won't have, you know, won't have certain data kind of ruled out because it's just too far away from the norm or what would be expected. Can use all the data. So it'd be really fun to see. So it was an exciting mission.
It's expensive. Okay. And so I'll just use that as an indication of how much, how important this issue is considered to be. $4.3 billion. Okay. And James Webb was a little over $10 billion. But again, it's. I think we'll get a lot of good data. And as Christians, again, that's kind of what we want. We want to get the data and be able to plug it in. Okay. So with that, I want to turn over the rest of the time to Wanden and he'll talk about his work in India where, as I mentioned another time, they are way beyond this as far as, of course, God made the universe.
[00:26:27] Speaker C: Good evening, all.
My name is Vandan Kumar and I came here along with my wife Prasuna today.
We are very glad to see you all.
It is a great joy and privilege for my wife and my wife Prasuna and me to be with you this evening.
We thank God for every one of you for Your love, prayers and encouragement and partnership in the Lord's work in India.
Our connection with the Madison church established two years back.
You are one of our missionary Hayes and Arena.
In 2022 they came to India by the recommendation of brother Everett Chambers who lives in France.
He is my friend from last 25 years onwards is coming to India.
Through every Chambers, Brother Hayes and Irina came to India.
Hayes and Irina recommended to medicine church.
From two years onwards the church at Madison supporting me in my mission work.
My wife Prasuna and God blessed us both of us with two children.
My daughter Likita 22 years and my son Peter Solomon 20 years in India.
We live in south part the city called Hyderabad.
It is also famous for many tech industries.
Hyderabad City Before I use the remaining time just what Just now brother Mike said about the time just I want to share few things from the Bible and then I will go into my presentation.
I want to introduce myself and share with you some of the work the Lord has allowed us to do in India.
I would like to spend a few minutes reflecting on something very precious that that all of us received from God. In God's creation many beautiful things are there.
Many valuable things are there.
In that time is one of the most precious things.
There is a word saying time and time wait for none. We all know that time is one of the great God's greatest gifts.
We cannot extend our time.
Time does not guarantee spiritual growth. Extended time is given our responsibility.
Extended time increase responsibility. Extended time should be used wisely.
Sometimes God extends time to fulfill his purpose.
How should we respond when God extends our time?
Before going to one important point, I want to read one scripture from Book of Lamentations, chapter 3, verse 22 and 23.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
His mercies never come to an end.
They are new every morning.
Great is your faithfulness.
We all possess time, but none of us control time. When God extend our time, what does he expect us to do?
In my life also God extended time.
That's why I came in your presence this evening. I am able to stand before you.
I want to share something that happened in the month of March when I am traveling to teach.
In one of the preachers meeting, I met with an accident.
But by God's grace I survived.
The car was damaged. God preserved my life and here something that deeply touched my heart. That very same day after the accident, I called some of the preachers who are near to that area.
Within 10:15 minutes, three preachers came and helped me to Take the car to shed servicing station.
I left my car there and with the help of the three preachers I went to the preachers meeting.
I cannot tell you what God intended every detail. But I can tell you what I learned.
God has given me another opportunity to serve.
In that afternoon after the meeting three souls have been saved.
I rejoice very well because on that day after accident as a human I felt a little bit of lonely.
I got in my heart my wife and children like that Because I want to see them as soon as possible.
But I went to the Gospel meeting and that meeting turn to save three denomination preachers.
It is a great blessing in my life Because I cannot express clearly Because I am not fluent in English. But God has given me opportunity to serve in his kingdom.
With your help and support I am able to do all these things.
Another opportunity I want to tell you God gave me on the same day after accident my mobile has been switched off. There is no charging one person keep on calling me after my mobile switch on.
Nearly 20 above missed calls are there.
I called him.
There is a man named Amiduddin. He is a Muslim man.
From one year onwards he is attending to the church at Miyapur where I am preaching.
He said brother Pastor Garu, you don't know difference between preacher and the pastor. So he called me Pastor Garu, I want to take the baptism.
He has been introduced to the church at Miyapura with his adopted daughter Ramya.
Many days many months later he finally obeyed to the gospel and now he is the member at the Miyapur church.
If God has not given me opportunity I may miss all these things.
I want to share another few things Another story At Miyapur one of the church member is there. His name is Raju.
Before introduced to the church at Miyapur, he is an idol worshipper in his village there is no single man or women. They don't know how the Bible looks like.
They don't know Jesus.
But when he came to the city from village in search of job, his friend name is John. He has been introduced to us.
He attending start attending with his friend to the church worship services and Bible class. It has a great zeal in his heart to know the truth.
He keep on asking many questions. Finally obeyed to the gospel 15 years back day he obeyed.
He has been rejected by his family members.
His wife also left him because he worshipping Worshiping the God who is a downtrodden caste God. In India we have casteism like in America racism.
In India we have the casteism.
Most of The Christians in India they believe if we are Christian, we are downtrodden castes.
So he believed Jesus is fellowshipping with downtrodden caste people.
She left her husband but for the truth.
Raju stood fast in the faith and is a great encouragement to the Chet Chet Miyapur and also in my regular evangelism work is often one of the co worker comes with me to help.
There are many challenges we face in India. There is political challenges, Are there religious challenges, Are there social economic challenges. There are number of challenges are there. But one thing I want to share One day when my wife and some of the church members at Miyapur after finishing the Wednesday Bible class nighttime we are walking on the street.
One political leader stopped his car in front of us and furiously asked me to come near his car. When I respected his word and came.
Sorry.
With your help and support, I am doing great great work.
I am not telling I am doing wherever I am there. Wherever one soul is saved, wherever the congregation strengthen, wherever the good deeds are doing. You all are there with your prayers and support.
My evangelistic work focuses three main.
Planting the seed, watering the seed, helping to grow.
These are the places I work regularly. The red line which shows there is no congregation in that area.
From last three months onwards I am traveling to that places and conducting the Bible classes.
Please pray. There is a great need.
One of the example I want to share.
In my village evangelism I mainly conduct denomination preachers Bible classes. I invite many different denomination preachers. Baptist, Pentecostal, many independent preachers denominations are there. Basically we have been converted from Baptist church. My dad and my brother and my sister all we converted from Baptist.
I know believe many godly people are there. But they don't know the truth in the Bible. If we explain clearly show them the truth in the Bible. There are definitely many receptives. Many people are very receptive. They can obey the gospel. Here one example I want to share. One of the denomination preachers Esratnam and his wife Jyoti obeyed to the gospel after one year discussing with many questions many Bible classes. They changed the name of the signboard also from Baptist to Church of Christ to conduct Bible classes. We need your support at least if you go to one village, one area. If we conduct two days classes by inviting number of denomination preachers and their wives. We need some help to provide some afternoon lunch and providing traveling expenses like that.
And there is also a great need of meeting chats because it helps to growth of the church.
And there are so many reasons also I cannot able to tell due to time there is a great need of Bible also. Please pray and help to receive the Bible. Men and women in India, thank you so much for your help and support.
Please continue to pray for us. Thank you sir.
